Our adorable stockings can clearly be called a symbol of Christmas, but what it also means is hope and good fortune. The original stocking legend is that St. Nick had put three gold balls in each of the stockings hanging to dry by the fire – to ensure that the young women in the house would have a dowry to marry. SO hang this sock up any time of year in hopes that good fortune will come your way!<\/p>\n
This delightful suncatcher gives a wonderful light show with color that varies depending on how the light hits it.<\/p>\n
Our stockings now come in varieties!<\/p>\n
Blue (Gluechip) and White: a four piece suncatcher with light blue gluechip top, toe, and heel, and a semi-opaque white body.<\/p>\n
Green (Gluechip) and White: a four piece suncatcher with green gluechip top, toe, and heel, and a semi-opaque white body.<\/p>\n
Classic (red and white): a two piece suncatcher in classic Christmas fireplace stocking colors; white top and a luscious red boot.<\/p>\n
Green (iridescent) with brass garland: a two piece suncatcher with an opaque white top and an iridescent green boot. Embellished with a foil garland which wraps around the whole piece, that was soldered and patinated brass.<\/p>\n
Each is soldered together with 60\/40 tin\/lead solder and polished to perfection. A hook is soldered to the top right for use of a suction hook in a window, or an ornament hook for your tree. All are approx. 6″H x 4″W<\/p>\n
