Shamrocks have been symbolic of many things over the years. According to legend, the shamrock was a sacred plant to the Druids of Ireland because its leaves formed a triad, and three was a mystical number in the Celtic religion, as in many others. St. Patrick used the shamrock in the 5th century to illustrate the doctrine of the Holy Trinity as he introduced Christianity to Ireland. <\/p>\n
The three leaves of a shamrock are also said to stand for faith, hope, and love. A fourth leaf is where we get the luck from. This delightful suncatcher gives a wonderful light show with color that varies depending on how the light hits it.<\/p>\n
Each is a four-piece item, soldered together with 60\/40 tin\/lead solder, and polished to perfection. It hangs from a wire hook soldered to the back. Add a suction hook for easy hanging in any window.<\/p>\n
