These particular pieces were made by my mother for me and my sister, both avid dancers. My sister and I both got into dance when we were 3 yrs old. Her because of a pre-school friend, and me because of her. We danced all through grade school, and dance is still a big part of our lives. My sister was always fond of ballet, and although it took me until high school to really see the appeal of it, now it is one of my favorite styles of dance, for its vigorous technique and discipline.<\/p>\n
Each is a six-piece stained glass suncatcher of semi-translucent glass, foiled in copper foil, and soldered together with 60\/40 tin\/lead solder, and polished to perfection. It hangs from a hook soldered to the top\/back. Embellishments are added at the end, where you can choose from porcelain flowers, bows, or omit.<\/p>\n
